It’s middle of May and, as promised, colorwars is coming to a close (at least for now)! We will be posting the final stats in the next couple of days and paying tribute to the teams that kicked booty. The site received nearly 3 million page views in the last month and a half…largely due to the popularity of your wonderful youngmenowme photos! Thanks everyone - teams, sponsors, and partcipants for great fun, and we’ll do it again sometime soon…with bigger goals and (hopefully) bigger budgets!

because we have been distracted (and have been out of the country) the deadline for the captions contest is going to be extended for another few days - till the 15th of May. A sock puppet making challenge will also be launched soon - co-run by puppet maker Brian Hogg. Beyond that we will be running a flurry of challenges that will bring colorwars to a close with lots of great prizes and bragging rights.

The standings will also soon be up and running in full glory!

what are some fun variations on rules we could try out? how could we make it so teams respond to each other and compete?

very sorry about the rocky start to the scavenger hunt - all should be fixed now… i think we still have all the data - just don’t have what link goes with what entry - we are working on a way to restore the data - or at least show you all the links you submitted so that you can tell us what goes with what

i am very sorry to those of you that spent time looking and had problems…i hope it was at least a fun experience - and i will do my best to fix what was lost.

and again - it should all work properly - but in case you are worried, save a copy of the link in a word doc.
